Sanny Franny

This past weekend, Shaun & I spent a rare weekend apart. But not before having some friends over for an impromptu BBQ on Friday night so they could all meet Lanie. :-)

Saturday, Shaun dropped me off at the airport bright & early and I was on my way to San Fran for a much needed Siiiiister weekend! We spent Saturday exploring Jaymee's new 'hood', meeting up with friends from San Diego for a delish lunch, hitting up a happy hour at a local bar and finished off the evening making macaroni & cheese and watching back-to-back chick flicks...one of our favorite past times. :-)

Meeting Dialie & Family at Food Inc. for lunch!

The Siiiiister’s Front Porch

Sunday morning, we picked up our mom from the airport for a fabulous Mother's Day! Us girls saw the play, Wicked, which was amazing. And after the show, we sang our way to a delicious dinner at a New American restaurant, also in Jaymee's neck of the woods. Our mom was pretty tired at this point since she had been up since 4 a.m., so we put her to bed and then walked two blocks to the Lion's Pub to see our friend, John, who also happened to be in town from San Diego! Monday was spent getting mani/pedis, a ladies' lunch and braving monsoon type weather that swept through SF with no warning.

Outside of Wicked

All in all, it was a perfect weekend! I was anxious to get home to Shaun & Lanie though, who had a weekend of bonding without me. I have a lot of work to do to win back some of Lanie's affection that Shaun earned over the weekend. :-)

Watching the Sounders game.
