New Addition

Those of you who know Shaun & me well, know that we have really been struggling with the loss of Harvey. He truly was one of a kind and is, without a doubt, irreplaceable. However, as most of you have told us...the best way to mend a broken heart after losing a pet is by getting a new one.

Well, that's exactly what we did. :) After seeing 'Megs' picture on petfinder, we knew in our hearts she was the puppy for us. We didn't intend to get another dog this soon after losing our best friend, Shmarv...but with her it just felt right. It took a little persistence on my part but we were given the opportunity to meet 3 month old 'Megs' on Wednesday night. She welcomed us with kisses ALL over our faces and it was the first time in awhile that Shaun and I were overwhelmed with happiness. She is now getting fast acquainted with her new home and had a very successful first night!

We haven't decided fully on a name yet, but for now we are calling her Lanie. :) She is a rescue dog, so we are not entirely certain what kind of puppy she is...but our best guess is German Shepherd, Lab & Mastiff. We think she might grow up to be a big girl! She was born in a shelter in Eastern Washington with her two sisters & brother on February 7, 2010. Lanie is the biggest lovebug you will ever meet! She just loves to shower you with kisses (lots of kisses) and puppy hugs. I think Harvey would approve. :)
