But even though Lanie is small, she is full of energy, love and has us wrapped around her little paw. She can also destroy a stuffed toy in under 1 minute flat...she's very talented. Although, she hasn't destroyed any of our things yet with the exception of a few holes in our area rug. :) Lanie loves her tennis balls, playing with her best friends Tycen & Sully and days in Gig Harbor. We have also introduced her to Magnuson Park's off-leash area that she LOVES. I think she'll be a little swimmer by summer's end.

6 Month Old Puppy
Our little miss Lanie turns 6 months old tomorrow! When we first adopted her, we were prepared for her to grow to be one big girl since we thought she was part Mastiff...I even bought the biggest crate the pet store had to offer that now takes up half of our living room. ;-) But as months go by, we realize more and more that Lanie definitely isn't going to get that big. Currently, she is weighing in under 50 lbs and we'll be surprised if she hits 60 lbs before she stops growing. Our favorite new game is to guess what kind of dog she might be...and our current guess is she may have some Beagle in her. We might need to spring for the genetics test at some point to put this curiosity to rest.

Fiesta Camping Trip
Every summer a group of our friends, also known as 'Fiesta', like to plan a group trip to get us all together. Last year we did a houseboat adventure on Lake Roosevelt which was a TON of fun...but also a TON of work to organize. So this year, we decided to do something a little less complicated by planning a camping trip to Salmon La Sac near Cle Elum, WA. It's a short two hour drive from Seattle and is a great little camping spot on a river. The group was a bit smaller this year due to other commitments, but we still had a blast! It was also Lanie's first experience camping...and she loved every second of it. :)

Mama Sire Visit
Every year a in July, Shaun has his annual Boat Races trip with the boys in the Tri-Cities. So this year, my mom decided to make a spur of the moment trip to hang with Lanie & me while Shaun was away. It was a nice few days of relaxing and doing what my mom and I love to do when we're together...shop, lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe, manis & pedis, watch girl movies, catch-up, etc. This time around, we also threw in a visit to Port Ludlow to see Shaun & my wedding venue! It was so nice having my mom in town and definitely helped the time pass while Shaun was away...a little anyway. :)

Aunt Peggy's Visit!
Shaun's mom's youngest sister, Peggy, is in town visiting from Alaska. So last night Pam, Peggy, Shaun and I went to the M's v. Red Sox game! We all met at the Elysian for a great dinner and a few lemon drops (Pam) :), before heading into the game. We had so much fun talking wedding details and catching up with Aunt Peggy! In fact, I was so busy talking to Peggy during the game that I would just start clapping whenever I heard the majority of the crowd cheer. However, Shaun pointed out that I was cheering for the wrong team...apparently there are a lot of Boston fans in Seattle. :) The M's didn't put up much of a fight until the bottom of the 9th when they tied the game to take it into extra innings. Seattle didn't pull out the win, but at least they gave the Red Sox fans a run for their money.
We were definitely in foul ball territory.

253
Last weekend we spent four days in the 253, also known as Tacoma.
:) We had a great time celebrating Jamie's birthday on Thursday, followed by a day of relaxing in Gig Harbor before our only wedding of the summer. Saturday, we headed to Tacoma for Megan & Kyle's big day! Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and got us so excited for our own wedding that is just over a year away. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Prosser, we love you guys!

Team Fiesta en los Pantalones
Our kickball team, Team Fiesta en los Pantalones, played in our 2nd Underdog Red Rubber Showdown all-day kickball tourney this past weekend. We had high expectations going into the day considering we won this same tournament in 2008 and couldn't compete in 2009 due to schedule conflicts. We didn't come up with the championship this year, but we sure had fun trying. We won our first 3 games early on to take us into the championship bracket with the four best teams of the day later that night. We were matched up against our Tacoma friends in our first playoff game and it was a battle until the end. We were up by one run going into the 5th and final inning, but Cobra Kai came out victorious and went on to win the championship. There will be a rematch in the near future, Cobra Kai. :)

Happy Birthday America...and Harvey!
Shaun & I celebrated our third 4th of July together in Gig Harbor this past weekend! Although mother nature didn't cooperate as well as we had hoped, we still had a fabulous time with the family. Liz & Kellan joined us this year too, which us Kehrbergs hope becomes a new annual tradition. :-)
The weekend was filled with wonderful company, delicious food, fresh seafood caught by the Kehrberg boys, Lanie & Kellan's first boat ride, amazing fireworks on Horsehead Bay and so much more! It was also spent remembering the most loyal and loving dog of all time. Harvey would have turned 11 years old on Sunday and there isn't a day that goes by that we don't miss him. We love you, Shmarv.
